A magical new year at The Victoria, Paddington
The Victoria in Paddington will be hosting a five-course tasting menu with a glass of prosecco and canapes on arrival this New Year's Eve, along with a magician, a quiz, and a good old-fashioned countdown to welcome in the new year – equipped with confetti cannons, of course.
The meal is £60 per person and must be pre-booked through the pub’s website, but you don’t need to book a table to be part of the festivities. The quiz kicks off at 8pm in the main bar and is on a first-come, first-served basis for tables. Miss Direction, a member of the Magic Circle, will be adding a little extra magic to the evening.

New Year’s Eve for foodies at The Gun, Docklands
A special NYE dining experience awaits at The Gun – a Grade II listed pub in Docklands with stunning views across the Thames. For New Year’s Eve, The Gun will be putting on an event fit for lovers of fine food, with a seven-course tasting menu, with the option of adding paired wines.
Head Chef Matt Colk has created dishes that will not only showcase his talents but take diners on a gastronomical journey into the new year. Once you’ve finished your meal, a DJ will be set out on the terrace for dancing until late, with a complimentary glass of prosecco to celebrate the clock striking midnight. Doors open at 6pm, with the meal commencing at 7pm. Prices start at £75 for the tasting menu.

Welcome the new year in Trafalgar Square at The Admiralty
Spend your New Year’s Eve right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Trafalgar Square at The Admiralty.
The pub will be screening the fireworks, although at midnight you can step outside with the crowds in Trafalgar Square to view them, too (tickets include re-entry), before celebrating the new year by dancing into the early hours with the help of the live band. Spend New Year’s Eve on board the Titanic! Well, riverside at The Swan Hotel in Arundel at least, which is putting on a Titanic themed black-tie party with incredible food to sail into the new year in style.
The Swan Hotel is known for its amazing food, so expect to be wowed with a six-course tasting menu, followed by live music to dance away to until the early hours. Collect your boarding pass at 7pm and settle in for a night to remember. There are also boutique hotel rooms on-site, in case you fancy spending the night.

Lovers of 90s music are in for a treat this New Year’s Eve at The Half Moon in Herne Hill. With 90s hits playing all night, great food and fancy dress, it’s the perfect way to dance your way into 2020.
