Full Steam Ahead At The Three Guineas

A First-Class Refurb for Our Reading Station Pub.

If you’ve passed through Reading train station recently, you might well have noticed that The Three Guineas is open for business once more - following a major refurbishment that has seen the grand old pub restored to its former glory.

The transformed pub boasts stunning new spaces and stylish modern decor, while reflecting the history and heritage of the building through the restoration of beautiful original features.

Nowhere is that more evident than in the new vaulted cellar bar, a superb new function space which has been stripped back to expose wonderful authentic brick-built arches.

Known as the Firefly Room, the cellar bar will provide an atmospheric place to sample delicious gin, whiskey and craft beer collections, and promises to be one of Reading’s favourite venues for private parties.

All-Day Dining and Commuter Coffees

Mixing charm and character with contemporary design, the main bar areas upstairs will provide a wider still range of drinks - and an all-day dining offer ranging from beautiful breakfasts to Sunday roasts.

Whether it’s a quick bite before your early morning commute, or dinner with family and friends at the weekend, you’ll enjoy the same exceptional quality cooking - with traditional British dishes crafted from fresh, seasonal, superbly sourced ingredients.

It’s all to be enjoyed indoors or out, with the pub now boasting a great outdoor scene perfect for alfresco dining or a pint and some people-watching.

Indeed, you don’t even have to set foot in the pub to appreciate the new Three Guineas.

When you’ve only got time for an express coffee before catching your train, the team will provide you with a ‘first-class’ service right there on the platform - serving you through an express hatch to make sure you get your coffee fix in time.
