The Anglers reopens with a fresh new look
Following a lengthy five-month refurbishment, popular 18th Century Thames-side pub The Anglers in Teddington has reopened with a fresh new look, delicious menu, and now boasts one of the finest garden bars in London – just in time for summer.
The Anglers has been closed since New Year’s Day and has undergone a huge transformation since then, including a new bar, a large, state-of-the art kitchen, a beautiful garden for alfresco dining and drinking in the sunshine, a new first floor function room that can be hired for private events – plus a tempting new menu and more drinks options than ever before.
Here's what you'll find at the new and improved Anglers.
A new look for The Anglers
The Anglers General Manager Ben Walton has contributed greatly to the project – which re-opened its doors on Tuesday 7 May.
Jonathon Swaine, Managing Director of Fuller’s, said: “I’m really excited about the opening of The Anglers – it’s a fantastic pub in a great location. As a historic building, it needed a bit of love and care. We’ve injected a new lease of life in to this beautiful pub.
“The only thing that hasn’t changed is the outer walls of the building – everything else has been updated and it looks incredible. Ben is a great leader for our pub, he’s well-loved by locals and I can’t wait to see what he and his team have planned for the future.”
Teddington's riverside destination
The Anglers has a new and improved riverside garden with lots of seating and an outdoor bar, as well as full-service dining tables on the terrace for alfresco dining. There is also a children’s playground to keep the kids entertained, as well as table tennis tables and foosball.
The garden is on the Thames path and has its own small dock at the bottom of the garden, where visitors can arrive by boat.
