Our Thai Kitchens
As much as we believe in beautiful British cuisine, we’ve always kept our eye on emerging world foods too. That’s why, in 1988, we introduced a Thai menu to The Churchill Arms in Kensington – which became the first pub in England to serve the fresh, fragrant, eastern fare.
It’s fair to say the move went down well, with the initial lunchtime trial becoming so popular we had to add an evening service and restrict diners to a 45-minute window.
Now, seven more of our pubs have joined The Churchill Arms in housing a Thai Kitchen, and the menus remain among the most authentic you’ll find in Britain.
From tasty noodles to aromatic stir-fries and curries, a world of choice awaits and, despite the huge variety of dishes on the menu, everything is freshly cooked to order. More than that, all our dishes are cooked using genuine ingredients from Thailand – we go almost half way round the world to bring authentic Thai flavours to the table.
Our chefs go to great lengths too, getting in early to chop fresh herbs, roll limes and prepare spices ahead of a technically challenging, extremely skilful service.
It all makes for a deliciously different pub-dining experience - but one that’s still best enjoyed with an old favourite. Fuller’s Organic Honey Dew is the most popular pint among our diners, with its gentle sweetness providing a great complement to the fragrant Thai cuisine.

Where to find our Thai Kitchens
The Churchill Arms is one of our five Thai restaurants in central London, the others being The Crown & Sceptre in Shepherd’s Bush, The Elephant Inn in Finchley, Latymers in Hammersmith and The Old Pack Horse in Chiswick.
Just outside of the capital, there are three more to try out too – namely The Queen’s Head in Chesham, The Harpenden Arms in Harpenden and The Prince Albert in Twickenham.
