Old Bank, New Bar
When admiring the exterior of The Old Bank it’s easy to see what inspired its name – the building was originally built as a Westminster Bank in the 1920s and has kept its original façade. But step inside this stylish bank-turned-cocktail bar and you’ll discover a bright, modern interior with lush greenery and stylish furniture.
The Old Bank’s Manager Stuart Richards has worked for Fuller’s for seven years and took on the pub’s refurbishment project in January. He said the new and improved site offers the best brunch, small plates, cocktail and craft beer that Northcote Road has to offer.
“With the refurbishment our aim was to make it a more comfortable space for the people on Northcote Road, and to create a bar experience that’s in keeping with the area. We’ve created a brighter, more inviting and relaxing family-friendly space – it’s the kind of place you can relax and let your hair down with a cocktail or two. We also have a great new team who are skilled and knowledgeable.”

Brunch & bar snacks
Stuart said The Old Bank now has extended opening hours, allowing for an impressive brunch menu to be served from 9am to 4pm. Bar snacks, small plates and large plates are served until late.
“Our Head Chef Ruben Alverez has created a delicious menu that we know people are going to love. It’s big on brunch, healthy meals and bar snacks – including a great small plate menu perfect for sharing.”
He said the bar’s premium food offer is focused on light, healthier options, but there’s also hearty meals and tempting puddings for those looking for something more indulgent to sink their teeth into.

With 16 beer lines featuring a range of old favourites and the latest craft beer, a bespoke cocktail bar where mixologists are whipping up the latest and greatest drinks, and a wine list that has tripled in size, The Old Bank has become a top destination for drinks on Northcote Road.
“We have a great selection of classic cocktails, and our own range signature cocktails – such as our Old Banker’s Punch. We also have delicious breakfast cocktails to accompany our brunch menu.”
