Two of our Ealing pubs, The Castle Inn and The Fox and Goose, have both taken first place in the category for Best Pub Garden at the Ealing in Bloom ceremony held in September.
The sizeable garden at The Fox and Goose has a large amount of seating and a covered, heated patio, as well a lawn area complete with picnic tables. The Castle has a secret beer garden, but is better known for its recently refurbished hanging basket displays that are clearly visible on St. Mary’s Road, Ealing, receiving a Certificate of Excellence from the London Garden Society for outstanding contribution to the beauty of the borough of Ealing for the displays.

Julian Peters, Manager at the Fox and Goose, said: “We’re immensely proud of our garden and strive to make it as pleasant a place as possible for our guests to relax in. We’re delighted that it’s been recognised in the local community, and we hope that this encourages even more people to come and see it for themselves.” Jon Ward, manager at The Castle Inn, also expressed his delight with the result, saying: “We aim to look as good as possible, and take a lot of care in maintaining our garden and external decoration. Hopefully people see this as indicative of the care and attention to detail we take in every aspect of our business.”
