The Albert Arms in Esher gets a warm welcome back
The Albert Arms in Esher has reopened today (14 August 2018) after being closed since 2016, following an extensive refurbishment. At the helm is General Manager Dan Arrow, supported by his team including an additional 26 members who have been welcomed into the Fuller’s family.

What’s New?
Six beautiful bedrooms are housed in a separate cottage opposite the pub, complete with luxurious bedding where guests can nestle down after a busy day at the races. On this theme, all bedrooms are named after legendary racehorses such as Arkle and Desert Orchid and the décor inside the pub also pays tribute to the nearby Sandown Park Racecourse. Three upstairs dining rooms have been built complete with an exciting and fresh new menu.

Dan Arrow said: “The Albert Arms is a great pub in a superb location, just a 10 minute walk from Sandown Park. My team and I aim to offer a warm and welcoming environment whether you are popping in for a quick pint, coming for a romantic dinner, or looking to hold a family celebration. With the six bedrooms too, I hope that we will soon build up a regular stream of racegoers who will keep coming back for more of The Albert Arms’ experience.”
Mouth-Watering Food
The Fuller’s Kitchen at The Albert Arms is led by head chef Ojas Naware who is producing a tantalising range of dishes such as nibbles like Native oysters, Vietnamese spicy chicken wings and crispy squid, and starters that include Fuller’s only London Porter smoked salmon, salt beef and Heritage tomato salad and roasted Jerusalem artichoke risotto.
The menu aims to offer guests a flexible dining experience, so dependent on their appetite, these starters can also be ordered as mains. In addition, the meat and fish section of the menu allows diners to customise their meal by adding a choice of sides to dishes like langoustines with garlic butter or a marinated Barnsley chop.

Those with a sweet tooth can finish off their meal with hot chocolate and caramel fondant with Fuller’s vanilla ice cream, or Hampshire strawberry mille-feuille with berry coulis. As if this wasn’t enough, The Albert Arms also offers brunch, where guests can enjoy delights such as shakshuka eggs or Cornish crab, avocado and poached egg on Golden Pride sourdough.
