The White Buck Inn, Burley wins Fuller’s Best Hotel/Inn award

Fuller, Smith & Turner P.L.C., the London brewer and premium pub company, is delighted to announce that The White Buck Inn, Burley, Hampshire has been named winner of the Best Hotel/Inn category in the Company’s annual pub of the year contest, The Griffin Trophy. The pub is managed by Martin Sliva.

The result was announced at a ceremony held in the Board Room at the Company's world-famous Griffin Brewery in Chiswick on Tuesday, November 3, 2015.

The Griffin Trophy awards recognise the efforts and achievements of the Company's top managers and tenants in five categories, Outstanding Achievement, Best City/London Pub, Best Hotel/Inn, Best Town/Local Pub, and Best Country/Village Pub.

Presenting the award to Martin Sliva, General Manager of The White Buck Inn, Fuller’s Chairman, Michael Turner said: "The White Buck Inn is in the heart of the New Forest, boasting stylish boutique bedrooms providing some of the finest accommodation in this area of stunning natural beauty.

“I’m delighted to be handing Martin this very well-deserved award, the pub has thrived since he joined last year. He has truly lifted the business, building a strong team and frequently receiving excellent reviews for the pub’s food and service. His commitment and hard work is undisputed. 

Martin Sliva, General Manager of The White Buck Inn, added: “We’ve had a great year here at The White Buck and this award really puts the icing on the cake. In the last 12 months we’ve really been concentrating on making sure all our customers have a fantastic experience whether they join us for a night’s stay, a family meal or just a quick drink and I hope we’ve succeeded. I have an incredible team at The White Buck and the recognition from Fuller’s is down to them.

“I’d like to thank all our customers for supporting us this year and we look forward to celebrating this win with them.”

The prize for winning the category comprises a £2,000 holiday, a staff party and an engraved plaque for the pub.
