Royal Oak retains its Michelin Star

The Royal Oak in Paley Street has retained its Michelin Star for a seventh successive year – testament to the high culinary standards of new chef, James Bennett.

Licensee, Nick Parkinson, said: “To gain a Michelin Star is a real achievement – to retain it is even harder. James was formerly our sous chef and it’s great that, having taken the top spot in our kitchen, he has maintained our exacting standards of fine dining.”

The pub, a Fuller’s lease, has an enviable reputation for its delicious and exciting menus in the Maidenhead area, one of the UK’s gastronomical hotspots.  Current dishes on the menu include a Lobster Raviolo, Leeks, Fennel, Chilli Jam and Lobster Bisque starter, a Partridge with Cavolo Nero, Parsley Root and Cauliflower Purée main course and for those with a sweet tooth a Caramel “Snicker”, Chocolate Cremeux, Peanut Ice Cream dessert.

As well as a fantastic restaurant, The Royal Oak offers a great range of beers, an extensive wine list and hosts a number of special events including ‘A Taste of Italy’ Wine Tasting Dinner on 20 October and a Masterclass with Chocolate with Bake Off Crème de La Crème Winning Captain and Master Chocolatier Mark Tilling.
