Shakespeare In The Garden is back in Fuller's pubs this summer on what promises to be even bigger than 2021 with 93 shows throughout the summer.
2022 brings you The Taming of the Shrew and The Comedy of Errors as this year's performances in Fuller's pubs.
Experience Shakespeare as it was intended - informal, raucous and in a spacious pub garden with a drink in hand. Whether this will be your first, or thirty-first night of Shakespeare, you will not be disappointed.

The Taming Of The Shrew
20th June – 21st August
A four-person performance with a contemporary twist on one of the bards most mischievous tales.
Everyone wants Bianca but until her sister, the quick tempered Katherine, is married off, their father won't let anyone near her. Petruchio arrives in town announcing his need for a wife and he has one desire: that she be rich. Bianca's suitors smell an opportunity...they'll pay Petruchio to marry Katherine. And so follows a battle of wills for the ages.

This year’s production will once again take centre stage in pub gardens across the Fuller’s estate. Fuller's customers can now look forward to this special alfresco production from Britain’s greatest playwright.
Shakespeare in the Garden is a comedic, fast-paced performance. The shows are suitable for people of all ages and would make a great family outing. Of course, Shakespeare in the Garden is enjoyed by Shakespeare lovers, but if you haven’t seen a Shakespeare play before, this would be the perfect introduction
We've introduced an Order & Pay app in a number of our pubs, meaning you can order your food and drink throughout the show without heading to the bar inside - it'll be delivered straight to your table instead.
FAQs
What happens if it rains?
No matter rain or shine, THE SHOW MUST GO ON! Nothing says British outdoor theatre than a bit of drizzle, so waterproofs are advised (Elizabethan ruffs less so). We'd also like to encourage you to BYOB (Bring Your Own Blankets) to stay all wrapped up and cozy.
How do I get my ticket?
When you've purchased your ticket, you will get sent a confirmation straight to your inbox. Where possible, you don't need to print off your tickets, just show your digital ticket at the door.
When do I need to arrive?
Most shows start at 7:30pm through to 10pm, however we advise arriving by 6:30pm to take your seat and to grab a much needed drink before the show. If you'd like to eat beforehand, it's best to book in advance and let us know you're watching the show.
