Top Five Venues for Smaller Weddings

Having a socially distanced wedding is a reality that many couples will face in the coming months. But is it possible to have a wedding with restrictions still in place, while adhering to the distancing rules? The answer is yes.

Be prepared to approach it with an open mind and be willing to make some changes. But rest assured that although your vision for your day may change, the wonderful teams at Fuller’s promise safe spaces in beautiful places that are perfect for your big day.

Dating back to the 17th century, The Mill is a stunning riverside venue with two licensed ceremony rooms. It’s had many different stories over the years, from Oliver Cromwell, it’s role as a corn mill, the place where braids for military uniforms were made and being a WWll hospital. Today it’s a beautifully rustic wedding venue and much-loved pub and has previously been featured in Fuller's list of The Best Winter Wedding Venues in the South of England

The ground floor Cromwell room is perfect for a smaller wedding. It’s normally licensed for up to 26 guests for a ceremony so it’s an ideal size for the current 15 person rule. The room has the same rustic interior as The Mill’s larger room but with the addition of a large Inglenook fireplace.

Outside there are acres of grounds overlooking Surrey Hills with plenty of photo opportunities - an orchard beside the Mill Pond, the entrance bridge and the pub’s lit archway. To top off your day you may even be greeted by ducks, swans, herons and pheasants while walking across the lawn.

Any reduction in final numbers will not be charged for, providing we receive notice before business expenses are incurred. For example, ordering food specifically for the event. A minimum spend may still apply.

We are currently happy to postpone weddings and events that have concerns that their bookings may be affected by coronavirus. The bookings will be amended without any charge but some dates in 2021 may incur a supplementary charge – for example, if the wedding moves from a Thursday in March to a Saturday in July the price difference would be payable.

In all cases, we will be able to offer new dates that will not incur additional costs. We will always aim to be as flexible as possible.

If we cannot find an alternative date which is suitable for you, we will refund your deposit.

Due to the current circumstances, we are trying to be as flexible as we can be in terms of cancellations. Therefore, we have removed fixed notice periods. We would, however, greatly appreciate it if you could provide us with as much notice as possible before your event and to consider moving your wedding/event to an alternative date in the future if at all feasible.

Where possible we will help you to find an alternative date for your wedding/event. However, if no alternative date can be arranged, we will be as flexible as possible to return your deposit to you, assuming no costs have been incurred by the business, such as the ordering of food.
