Berkshire's Best Pub
The Lock Stock & Barrel pub in Newbury was awarded the county award for Berkshire, which General Manager Sonya Mifflin said was a testament to her hardworking team.
“We were lucky enough to be put forward for the competition and I believe a lot of it is down to the fantastic team we have here. They are always smiling and happy to help and their positive attitude translates into a fantastic atmosphere. The great beer and delicious food are also big factors, of course.”
Sonya said winning the title of Berkshire’s best pub has inspired her and her team to work towards an even bigger title next year.
“We are all incredibly proud. It's so lovely to get some recognition for all the hard work we put in. The team and I have a lot of passion for the pub and I believe that shows through.
“Seeing the fantastic regional winners at the awards ceremony has spurred me to strive for a higher category next year, so watch this space!”
