National Vegetarian Week arrives at Fuller’s pubs

Fuller’s chefs are embracing National Vegetarian Week by taking the opportunity to showcase their delicious and inventive vegetarian and vegan dishes. 

For veggie week, which runs from 13 to 19 May this year, Fuller’s pubs will feature an extra special range of vegetarian options to give diners – vegetarian, vegan or otherwise – the chance to try new ingredients and dishes that are meat-free. 

Fuller’s pubs and restaurants always have a selection of vegan and vegetarian food and drinks on offer all year round, but National Vegetarian Week will see even more of these dishes featured on the chef’s specials boards. 

The dishes available at Fuller’s pubs for National Vegetarian Week will include starters, mains and puddings.

A taste of what’s cooking for Veggie Week 

Each Fuller’s pub and kitchen will have their own Vegetarian Week specials, but here is a taste of what you could find at a Fuller’s pub near you.

Starters may include the likes of shiitake mushroom and chive dumplings, pressed goat’s cheese and piquillo pepper terrine, or roasted plum tomato and smoked garlic soup. 

For the main course, goat’s cheese souffle, grilled polenta with roasted fennel and tomatoes, or wild mushroom and black truffle lasagne could be among the options. 

To finish, vegetarian puddings that will be available include indulgent hot chocolate and caramel fondant, or caramelised mango crumble with almond anglaise for something fruity.
