Vintage Ale 2004
Brewed to blossom
Exactly 95,000 bottles of this fabulous Vintage Ale were produced, with plenty still waiting to be opened and savoured. It’s one of the fruitier beers in the series, with distinctive notes of cherry.
Exploring new ground
2004 was a year that began with the Mars Exploration Rover landing on the red planet. Later in the year, we were exploring new ground too – combining Goldings hops with Maris Otter malt for this delicious, fruity vintage.
The hops and malt work in harmony to bring ripe, cherry flavour – before a warming finish that mellows with age.
The ultimate beer for a decadent dessert
Golen amber in colour with aromas and flavours of nuts, toffee, caramel and fruit (particularly orange). Its full body will match the dense texture of the pudding with the beers' sweetness complementing the toffee and the overall sweetness in the dessert.
- Ale Yeast
- Malts: Crystal, Pale
- Hops: Challenger, Denall, Fuggles, Goldings, Northdown, Organic First Gold, Target
A special ale, years in the making
It can take a long time for beer to mature in an old whisky cask - more than two years, in the case of Brewer’s Reserve No.3. By the time it was ready, our brewers were a little greyer, a little wiser – and adamant it was well worth the wait.
Something completely different
Ride the rapids of Wild River
Riding the wave of the US craft beer movement, Wild River is an exciting take on American Pale Ale. It’s a double-hopped brew made with several Californian hops – a golden beer inspired by The Golden State.
